Having
studied at art school in the sixties
Frank Phillips
made his career in publishing,
notably as an in house and freelance book designer.
During his professional life he worked for
Readers` Digest books, Ebury Press
and finally BBC Worldwide where he was
Creative Director of BBC Books.
Retiring
early to live in France and Cornwall he has realized a long held
ambition to work as a painter, and has now become established as
a water colourist.
His
principal inspiration has been the ancient landscapes of France
and the rugged coast and undulating landscapes of Cornwall.
He
exhibits regularly through out the UK and France and his paintings
are in private collections through out the world.
His
work has been accepted by The Royal Watercolour Society.

of his prints is in the collection of The Duchess of Cornwall
and his `limited edition prints have been published in the
UK and Japan. Many of his paintings have been published
as greeting cards. |
